New Feature Alert! Address Geocoding
Overview
Wastebits now uses address geocoding to help you enter accurate, validated addresses across the platform. As you type a street address, the system will suggest matching addresses in real time, reducing manual entry errors and ensuring address data is standardized.
Address geocoding is available on all records that have Companies and Sites records wherever a physical address is entered.
How It Works
When entering a physical address, begin typing the street number and street name in the Street Number field. A dropdown list of suggested matching addresses will appear beneath the street fields. Select the correct address from the list, and the remaining fields: State, County, and Postal Code, will automatically populate.
Overriding a Suggestion or Entering an Address Manually
If the correct address does not appear in the suggestions, or if you need to enter an address that is not recognized by the geocoding service, you can bypass the suggestions entirely. Simply continue typing past the dropdown and fill in all address fields manually. The geocoding suggestion is a helper tool; it is never required, and you are always able to enter or edit address information directly.
Where This Applies
Address geocoding is active on the physical address fields for:
- Companies
- Sites
